A Dubai-based developer is offering a ‘dream home’ worth Dh820,000 as part of a raffle draw for the customers of its home décor brand.

Danube Group, a Dubai-based building materials company, launched a month-long ‘Win a Dream Home’ campaign’ that runs until Thursday, May 19 across all Danube Home stores in the UAE.

The winner’s apartment will be in Glitz 3 by Danube, a Dh350m master development in Dubai Studio City. Last month, the developer awarded Naresco Contracting the main contract for the Glitz 3 development.

Anyone who spends Dh1,000 or more at any of the Danube Home stores stands a chance to win the grand prize of a 1-bedroom apartment. Other prizes on offer include a home makeover worth Dh10,000, gift vouchers of up to 50% off, or discount coupons of up to 25% off.

This is not the first time a Dubai property developer is offering freebies to its customers.

In 2008, Damac Properties offered a jet plane worth Dh5.5m and a Dh1m private island in the Caribbean in a lucky draw for property buyers at that year’s Dubai Shopping Festival.

The same developer offered its customers a Lamborghini Aventador roadster luxury sports car with the purchase of every penthouse during DSF 2013.

While those deals gained publicity – both positive and negative – from various quarters, now Danube is offering customers a free one-bedroom house in a raffle campaign.

“I wish everyone a month of big wins during the campaign, which is for everyone and where everyone will be a winner,” said Adel Sajan, Director, Danube Group.

In January 2016, Danube’s retail arm Danube Home opened a 60,000 sq. ft. flagship store in Dubai, taking the number of group’s total retail stores to 14 across the GCC countries, predominantly in the UAE. The firm says it plans to open six more home furnishing stores by the end of 2016.
